Things that you can do in the day to improve sleep at night 😴😴😴
1) Get natural light first thing in the morning ☀ Early morning sunlight helps you to sleep better at night because it regulates your sleep wake cycle and encourages good sleep patterns.
2) Exercise regularly. Not only does exercise physically tire you out, it also reduces stress both of which can help sleep.
3) Cut caffeine off after 12pm. Caffeine has a half life in the bloodstream of 5-7 hours meaning it can stay in our system for a really long time. Cutting this off at 12pm can give your body time to process it to avoid it effecting your sleep.
4) Make sure your room is comfortable. Comfort is so important to sleep so aim for a dark, cool, and quiet room.
5) Stay consistent with your sleep and wake cycle. To optimise sleep patterns it is best to stick to a regular sleep and wake time allowing for 8 hours of sleep per night.
