Reasons to exercise that have nothing to do with getting fitter

1) Exercise gives you energy 🏃‍♂️ Working out boosts your feel-good hormones (endorphins) which can give you a natural high and help you to feel more confident. So, if you’re feeling tired, try a walk around the block it’s often better for your energy levels than a strong coffee

2) It can be fun 😁 Do you remember when you were a kid and used to run around the backyard kicking a ball, or at a playground leaping across the jungle gym. We didn't do this because it burns calories, we did it because it was awesome! Let's bring the fun back by finding something you enjoy, this the best thing you could do for your health. 3) It's good for your mind 🧠 Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, and more. It also relieves stress, improves memory and boosts your overall mood.

4) Exercise can help sleep 😴 As little as 10 minutes of aerobic exercise, such as walking or cycling, can dramatically improve the quality of your nighttime sleep, especially when done on a regular basis.

5) Exercise can be a great time to connect 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Exercise can be really social whether it is playing a game of sport with your mates or going for a walk with a friend around the block. This connection adds further enjoyment to exercise.
