Whether you are a snorter, giggler or roll round on the floor struggling to breathe, teary eyed belly laugher. One things for sure, laughing feels great. As it turns out laughter also has great physical and mental benefits too.

Did you know?

Laughter enhances our intake of air, stimulating our heart and lungs. It is also a fantastic stress-reliever releasing endorphins (happy hormones) throughout our body. Laughing also affects our physiology in other ways, including improving the function of blood vessels and increased blood flow - great to protect against cardiovascular problems. 10-15 minutes of laughter per day can burn up to 40 calories. How crazy is that?

How you could have a laugh in your day:

- Listen to a funny podcast

- Watch your favourite comedians stand up routine

- Watch some funny YouTube or TikTok clips

- Hang around people who make you laugh

So whatever you do to have a chuckle in your day keep doing it. It's not only hilarious it's good for you too
