Use a small amount of spray oil when cooking . For each table spoon of oil you use to cook with you add 120 calories to the meal. If you free pour oil it's likely you are adding 200 or more calories to a meal without noticing. Compare that to around 20-40 calories if using a light spray
Use less sauce/dressings. Adding ketchup or mayonnaise to your food can add more calories than you may realise. If you are eating out ask for the dressing on the side
Don't drink your calories. Juices, soft drinks, flavoured milks, sports drinks are all generally around 200+ calories per serve. Stick to water it's 0 calories
Don't add sugar to tea and coffee
Use smaller plates. Today's dinner plates are, on average, 44% larger than they were in the 1980s. Smaller plates = smaller serving size
Drink water before your meal. Drinking water before a meal may help you feel more satisfied, causing you to eat fewer calories
Eat with your non-dominant hand. This might sound a little awkward, but if you're prone to eating quickly, eating with your non-dominant hand could be helpful in slowing you down.
