It's Christmas week so let's cover a few strategies you can try to have a healthier Christmas day.
1) Try and be active in the morning leading up to your Christmas lunch or dinner. That could be something like a walk or possibly a bit more.
2) Drink lots of water throughout the day so our body can distinguish between hunger and thirst.
3) Eat slowly to allow your body and hunger cues to adjust.
4) Fill up on protein and vegetables. Protein and vegetables increases satiety which is the feeling of fullness.
5) Pick your favourite Christmas foods and leave ones you aren't fussed on. Just because there is lots of food available on Christmas it doesn't mean we have to eat everything. So stick to what you truly enjoy or only eat on Christmas.
6) Remember Christmas is one day, getting back on track the day after is a good idea.
