Walking is one of the easiest ways you can be physically active and look after your health. Sometime achieving 10k steps a day can be a challenge. So here are some ways you could get more in your day
1) Take a walking the morning before work. It's a great habit to get into and can be perfect start to your day. Even 10 mins helps
2) Set an alarm to move. Sitting down all day isn't great for your health. So regular reminders can help you remember to move.
3) Walk and talk. Have a headset on? why not move about when you are on the phone.
4) Split it up. It might be hard to fit a 30 min walk in all at once. But 3 x 10 min walks has just the same benefit
5) Park further away. This could be from work, the supermarket or anywhere you drive too.
6) Walk to the supermarket or local shops instead of driving
7) Go for a walk at lunch. Again even 10 mins helps
8) Take the stairs. This daily habit can add on a lot of steps to your day.
9) Spend time outdoors
10) Walk a dog or borrow someone else's. Better yet get paid to do it as a dog walker
11) Walk after dinner
12) During add breaks of tv
13) Drink more water. Those trips to the bathroom and to get more water aren't just good for your steps, you'll also avoid dehydration.
